Locko & Mr Leo. Two living icons in cameroon

6years ago, the cameroon music industry didn’t have many artist doing Urban music at a professional level. It can be agreed that many artist whose names were popular around the years of 2016 found it difficult to keep to consistency up till this date.

But here we are, celebrating two icons whom have over time on an individual level, given cameroonians reasons to smile, jubilate, dance and brag in all different dimensions. Talking about awards won both home and away, endorsement deals, hit songs back to back, undisputed sweetness in album creativity and productivity, creation of labels to help forge the growth of the industry by signing of young artist.

The song “supporter” was just one of those irresistible song records some years back which made cameroonians to believe that their “own” had something to offer and compete with on an international level. Mindful of the fact that during this period there was a high influx of foreign music all over the nation’s entertainment space, but any time the song “supporter” was played on radio or Tv immediately fans start singing word for word the lyrics of it. Moreso, these two icons of ours have grown from record label signees to record label owners they have so far reached on an individual level 282k+ subscribers of locko’s YEMA TV and 281k+ subscribers on Mr Leo YouTube channel respectively. And they both performed the song “supporter” at the AFRIMA 2017 live event not forgetting popular singers like dadju and others who made videos of them singing to this beautiful musical piece.
